Church News and Fellowship
- Hot Dog and Ice Cream Social: Join us this Sunday, August 30, following morning worship. Volunteers are needed to make ice cream. Please contact Cheryl Coeyman if you can make a batch.
- Coffee, Cake and Celebrate: The next monthly birthday celebration will follow worship on Sunday, September 20.
- Coffee, Cookies and Conversation: This first-Sunday fellowship returns October 4. Please contact Noreen Jekel if you can provide cookies or make coffee for one Sunday.
- Greeters and ushers: Diane McCaffity and Rebecca Long will serve August 30. Volunteers are needed for September and for 2026. Please use the sign-up sheet in the narthex.

- Monday, September 14 at 7:00 p.m. — Women’s Circle meeting in the Sanctuary Annex
- Sunday, September 20 — Coffee, Cake and Celebrate following worship
- Sunday, September 27 at 8:00 a.m. — Men’s Breakfast, Team 1 cooking; congregational meeting following worship to receive the Nominating Committee report and, if the way is clear, elect three Ruling Elders to the Class of 2029
- Sunday, October 4 — Coffee, Cookies and Conversation resumes

Joys and Concerns
The congregation celebrated more than 50 people attending worship and nine joining online, welcomed Barbara Collins back to church, and shared thanks for the congregation’s care for the LeRay family.
Please remember in prayer Mark as he prepares for hip replacement surgery, Don Stewart and his wife Lisa as Don returns home under hospice care, Lee and Linda Garner, Bonnie, Rosemary’s friend receiving care at Duke, the LeRay family, children returning to school, and all others named in recent weeks.

Support The Filling Station
Current food pantry needs include peanut butter, jelly, pasta, canned vegetables, juice boxes, and pop-top soups. Donations may be taken to The Filling Station on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
