Dear Siblings in Christ,
This Sunday, because of the LORD’s leading, Pollocksville Presbyterian will celebrate 151 years! We remember those who have walked the path before us , we celebrate those who are with us now, and we look forward to the future.
151 years is no small feat. Yes, there are plenty of worshiping communities that have been around longer and there are those that are not quite at 151. But, here we are. It’s not a round number, but 151 is important. It means we are moving ahead through the Holy Spirit’s power! It means that our best days are not behind us, but ahead of us. 151 years mean that we are in the beginning of the next 150 years! That is incredible and should be lifted up as a testament to God’s good work in our lives as a congregation.
It’s truly exciting how the LORD has worked for all this time, continues to work, and will continue to work in this congregation in the days ahead.
Let us give thanks and be filled with the hope, faith, and love from God that has seen us through so much!
