Welcome Notes
Pollocksville Presbyterian Church celebrated a joyful birth this week with the arrival of Miles Thomas Bender. Congratulations to the family and grandparent helpers, Jay and Sheron Bender.
Church Life and Services
Worship: Sunday worship continues at 11:00 a.m., with streaming on Facebook, YouTube, and the church website.
Sunday School: Adult and Children’s Sunday School are at 9:45 a.m. in the church library.
Breathe & Movement: Tuesdays at 6:00–7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
Clergy Coverage: Pastor Ken Yearick will be away through August 11. If a need arises during this period, please contact a Session member.
This Week’s Announcements
Pastor and Guest Support: Service support in recent worship was appreciated, and Jay Bender also served the pulpit.
Choir Practice: Resuming Wednesday, August 5 at 6:00 p.m.
Women’s Circle: Meeting and social gathering is Monday, August 10 at 7:00 p.m.
Coffee, Cake and Celebrate: Following worship on August 16.
Men’s Breakfast: Sunday, August 23 at 8:00 a.m., Team 4 cooking.
Hot Dog / Ice Cream Social: Sunday, August 30, with volunteers needed for homemade ice cream.
Monthly Rhythm: Congregational and stewardship meetings are scheduled for mid-September.
Church Needs
Clergy Support & Office Contact: Scholarship materials and updates were shared in this issue, including application reminders. For scholarship questions, call the church office at 252-224-8181 or contact the church secretary.
Volunteer Opportunities: Volunteers are still needed to support guest greeting and ushers for upcoming events.
Community Support
The Filling Station continues to seek food and donation support, especially during collection days.
