Celebrating 158 years, 1868–2026
Guest Minister: The Reverend Dr. Nancy E. J. Gladden
Rev. Gladden is a retired minister living in Wallace, North Carolina. She most recently served as Presbytery staff for the East Community of the Presbytery of Coastal Carolina, where she had many opportunities to worship and serve with Pollocksville Presbyterian Church.
Homecoming worship will be followed by a catered lunch. Everyone is invited. Please RSVP by Tuesday, October 6, so the caterer can receive a count: call 252-224-8181 or email fwaters@pollocksvillepresbyterian.org.
Stewardship and Church Life
Pledge packets have been mailed. Please be on the lookout; packets are due back by October 25.
Greeters and ushers are needed for November, with one additional volunteer needed for December. Those willing to serve may use the sign-up sheet in the narthex.
Coffee, Cookies and Conversation is held on the first Sunday of each month. Contact Noreen Jekel if you can provide cookies or make coffee for a Sunday.
Following worship on the third Sunday of each month, the church celebrates everyone with a birthday that month. The next Coffee, Cake and Celebrate gathering is October 18.
Classes and Schedule
- Sundays, 9:45 a.m.: Adult Sunday School in the library and Children’s Sunday School.
- Sundays, 11 a.m.: Worship in the sanctuary, streaming live on Facebook, YouTube and the PPC website.
- Tuesdays, 6–7 p.m.: Breath and Movement Class in the Fellowship Hall.
- Wednesdays, 6 p.m.: Choir practice.
- October 11: Homecoming Sunday with catered lunch.
- October 12, 7 p.m.: Women’s Circle meeting in the Sanctuary Annex.
- October 18: Coffee, Cake and Celebrate following worship.
- October 25, 8 a.m.: Men’s Breakfast; Team 2 cooks. A hymn sing will be held during morning worship.
- November 1: Daylight Saving Time ends; coffee and cookies follow worship, and Session meets at 4 p.m.
The Breath and Movement Class will not meet October 27, November 17 or December 8. For information or registration, email maleray1@gmail.com.

Community Support
The Filling Station’s Jones County—A Perfect 10 is Saturday, November 7, 2026. Current items needed include peanut butter, jelly, pasta, canned vegetables, juice boxes and pop-top soups. Donations, food, and volunteers are welcome. Visit The Filling Station for current information.
